Care where it is needed most
Many monasteries and nunneries do not have the resources to cover necessary treatment for every practitioner. An illness that is manageable with consistent care can become life-threatening when medicine is unaffordable or unavailable.
The Maitri Project funds healthcare for monks and nuns, including life-saving diabetic medication in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley. Support is directed through relationships with the people and communities involved, allowing assistance to respond to concrete medical needs.
